The 2016/17 season has been one full of young stars. England, Spain, France, Italy and Germany all have young players bursting with talent and showing their skills on the main stage. One of which goes by the name of Andrea Belotti.
Belotti is the Serie A’s top goalscorer with 19 goals. What makes him extra special is the team he plays for, Torino. The mid-table team has produced an absolute gem with big clubs wanting the Italian’s signature this summer. At just 23 years old Belotti has a big future ahead of him, both club and international level.
Fellow Italian Antonio Conte has reportedly sent scouts out to watch the striker play, and there is no doubt they would’ve been impressed. The number 9 scores all types of goals. It’s hard to work out what his strong foot is, similar to that of Spaniard Santi Cazorla. But being 6 ft his heading ability is incredible. Arriving late at the back-post as well as getting in front of his marker happen every other week.
The Sun have reported that a number of teams, as well as Chelsea, have been linked. These include Arsenal, PSG and Manchester City. However, these teams will have to meet his insane £80 million release clause.
If you’re a regular watcher of the Serie A you’ll know exactly why teams are interested in Belotti. A natural goal scorer helping to carry his team up the table. It won’t be long until we see this man in the Champions League and playing for a top European side.
